Ok, I’ll have to come clean this episode was a lot more satisfying than the others; for a long time now I’ve been getting the vibe that everyone apart from Metropoliman was a completely useless character. They’ve been on a losing streak for a long time now and I felt it satisfying to see Metropoliman’s first loss.
To him, it might have been a loss but it wasn’t a win on their side either; it is obvious that Metropoliman is willing to do nasty things in others to become a god and he doesn’t care about the lives of others, that’s what makes it such a shame Kakehashi can’t kill another person. Normally it would be expected that after the death of his aunt, he would be a little used to the kind of world where killing is involved but it seems he isn’t just the kind of guy.
Episode 7 started with the survival of Mukaido, it was a well-expected survival, in fact, I think he should have had little to no damage, if I’m correct the wings allow them to move faster than the human eye can see, that means that he should have been able to escape immediately he saw that ground scattering but yet he still got caught up in the blast. That’s quite disappointing.
But let’s not forget the best part of the episode; the battle between Kakehashi and Metropoliman, that battle was one of the most satisfying I’ve seen throughout the entire series.
It just shows that he has that fighting capabilities in him, he was able to deflect and block Metropoliman’s white arrow on multiple occasions move so fast and efficiently that Metropoliman considered him a threat but what good is his fighting ability if he can’t shoot a simple red arrow.
He wasted a very rare opportunity all because of his incompetence not only that but I’m positive that the only reason Mukaido used his gun on Metropoliman instead of the white arrow was because of his consideration for Kakehashi.
The one good thing that came from all of that was the fact that Kakehashi was able to see Metropoliman’s face, which might at least allow them to do the attacking and not to always be on the receiving end.
The scene when he got back from the battle was plain annoying, the fact that he was crying makes it all the more frustrating, I mean…they should have just made him badass throughout the episode. It was just so annoying to see him cry about his inability to kill someone, it was supposed to be human instinct to react when threatened but at least he should have known that there was no damage in using the red arrow their loss was complete because of him.
And we finally have the most annoying scene of all. Saki Hanakago; a girl that has been nothing but completely useless and a complete letdown blabbing as if she is important. The only reason she is alive is because she knows Kakehashi and he has feelings for her, if not I’m positive that she would have been one of the people that were killed in the stadium. She still said that she can’t love him…honestly, it’s not her fault, I blame Kakehashi for being such a simp to a girl who only needs you for herself.
