Shikamaru is a ninja of the Hidden leaf and a member of the Nara clan, despite his lazy nature he has enough wits to allow him to prevail in combat. Shikamaru has always been known by his mates and even anime fans in real life to be very smart, in fact, his IQ was reported to be above 200 even when Albert Einstein's IQ was 160. To me, the IQ of >200 that was given to Shikamaru is well exaggerated, why? because he does have enough feats to support that level of IQ.
