Today I’ll be looking into two shounen protagonists and I’ll put them against each other in a death battle. All feats would be included.
How strong is Midoriya
Deku is the protagonist of the anime series ‘Boku no hero’. 'Deku' is the hero name of Izuku Midoriya; a boy known to have been born without a quirk in a world where 90% of the world’s population possesses one quirk or the other. He inherits the quirk of the strongest hero in Japan, a symbol of peace, All might.
Midoriya is undoubtedly one of the strongest characters in my hero academia. He originally started as a weak and quirk less character but all that changed with his encounter with all might. Due to him displaying the qualities of a hero even though he was quirk less moved all might make him the successor of the quirk ‘one for all’. He is usually a timid, reserved, and overly polite boy who frequently over-reacts to little abnormal situations but later on, he grows into a dependable guy with a strong leadership capability. He is usually an overthinker and a quick analyzer he can effectively bring out possible solutions to defeat an enemy and he uses his quick thinking in battle properly to the extent of being acknowledged as one of the smartest people in his class.
Deku possesses a generally good physique and an even better physical capability; the quirk passed down to him requires him to possess strong muscles therefore his muscles are well trained in other to withstand the strain of using his quirk. He also possesses immense stamina and durability, being able to withstand a high level of pain which would probably make other characters unconscious. His strength is nothing to laugh about at 100% he easily destroyed a villain bot with just one punch and annihilated a twelve-story building, create torrents of wind with just a flick of his finger, and create a massive explosion with just a single punch. At 8% of midoriya’s full cowl, he can move faster than the eye can see and he can do much more at 100% but with his 100% faux, Midoriya overtook an already fired sniper bullet even before the bullet was able to cover the little remaining distance. Also, he is now able to use six of the seven quirks in which he has, they are;
Fa Jin; which allows Midoriya to build up and store kinetic energy and release it as a burst of speed and power
Danger sense; which allows him to sense dangers in his surrounding areas.
Black whip; which allows him to generate tendrils of black energy which allows him to easily grab things and also increases his mobility. Kind of like…. Spiderman.
Smokescreen; which allows generating smoke to block people's vision.
Float; which allows him to suspend himself in mid-air
How strong is Gon
Gon is the protagonist of the anime series ‘hunter x hunter’, he is a boy who ventured out to become a hunter in other to find his father. Gon is an athletic and friendly boy who is searching for adventure, also, he isn’t very good at math although he does have a very good connection with animals. Gon is an enhancer, who is known for being simple-minded and determined, this determination leads to both his allies and his potential enemies putting their trust in him. His simple-minded nature leads him to be rash and easy to get angry, he also feels the need to prove his enemies wrong and at times, completely over-power them.
Gon is often regarded as an observant and agile boy full of stamina but what he was most given credit for was his infinite potential. Many of the series strongest characters were astonished as to how strong Gon is. Gon has incredible eyesight, probably inhuman; being able to see far up the mountain that Kurapika deemed impossible, he also has enhanced hearing, taste, smell, and preternatural perception. He also possesses enhanced strength, speed reflexes, agility, endurance, adaptability, and stamina. he also has his keen intellect, being able to think outside the box and outside everyone else expectations.
Gon is an enhancer, therefore he possesses great strength and recuperative abilities, thanks to his training with biscuit he has learned other nen abilities which are; emission and transmutation. According to wings Gon’s talent can be found in one out of ten million people.
Gon’s Nen ability is called Jajanken. It is an ability that consists of three parts. His main attack is rock; a simple but devastating attack that is done by concentrating all of his aurae into his fists through ko. His long-ranged attack was scissors; a transmuted blade of aura capable of slicing through a chimera ant.
Gon’s adult form is a form reached by forming a vow in a condition of immense emotional distress. Gon was able to summon all the power he’ll ever have grown to an age where he could defeat pitou, and he did defeat her, quite easily in fact. We almost felt sorry for the immense beating she took
GON VS MIDORIYA
Now, with all the feats and qualities mentioned it’s still quite difficult to select a winner so we’ll go over this systematically
Strength; in this aspect Midoriya takes charge. Even his quirk alone gives him the upper hand in this aspect
Attack; Gon easily takes this because Midoriya might have strength but his attack potency cannot yet be compared to that of Gon. And again the existence of nen makes attacks more potent than Midoriya could expect
Speed; when it comes down to speed Midoriya easily takes this, as I mentioned before; at 4% he could move faster than the human eye, imagine how fast he can move at a hundred percent.
Putting all these could make Midoriya the winner but let’s not forget that Gon has his adult form, he can only enter when he is immensely distressed and is willing to do everything to win a fight. Only then would Gon win.
That means that if it was indeed a death match Gon would win and there’s nothing Midoriya can do about it.
