Anime characters can have various kinds of abilities or powers, it can range from elemental manipulation, energy blasts, and so on… these abilities are very applicable in the one place fans love the most, battles. That’s why there are deathmatches in existence, we all want to know which would win based on their abilities. 

Brawlers in anime are a whole different story entirely, these characters may or may not have other abilities but they do have physical strength and durability and these make them exactly what they are.

The top 10 strongest anime brawlers are;

10. Garou

Here is a character from the anime series one punch man. Garou is an extremely great martial artist to defeats every hero. His speed, reaction, power, and durability are exceptional especially his durability. he is an extremely quick learner and can easily adapt, he was able to defeat tank top master easily and damage metal bat, he even fought against watchdog and about five other A-class heroes, each attacking him simultaneously. He quickly adapted the moves of watchdog to defeat the A-class heroes. And then still fought against Bang and his brother almost at the same time without any breaks. He fought about ten of the world’s strongest heroes without taking breaks while enduring the damage he got from them, one of the people in which he fought is his very own master, these just prove the vast potential possessed by Garou.

9. Killer T

The killer T is not just one character but over a million characters bearing the same name and function. The killer T cell is a white blood cell (cytotoxic T lymphocyte or the cytotoxic t cell) that is tasked to kill any infected foreign object.  These huge obnoxious characters may sound weak but they are great brawlers, with their huge muscle mass they have been trained right from birth for fighting, they are so strong that they can easily terminate threats with a single blow.

8. Ohma Tokita

Ohma Tokita is the protagonist of the anime series “Kengan Ashura” he is an extremely capable fighter able to easily beat opponents. In the world of Kengan Ashura shares and stocks of large companies and industries are decided by Kengan matches; a match known to be run underground by large companies where the companies employ their representative to fight in battles known as Kengan matches. His enhanced senses and his primal instinct are perfect for his fighting style, his durability and strength are nothing but subarashi. He even can become berserk, where he greatly increase his heart rate to overlook body functions thereby increasing his speed and power.

7. Eren Yeager

From the popular anime series ‘attack on titan,’ we have a character known as ‘eren’. I'll skip the long storyline and jump right to the details; Eren is a boy who became a titan by eating his father, he became the founding titan possessing the ability to control other titans, but how does he brawl? Well…there’s no other way for a titan to fight except brawls. It is evident in his fight against Reiner and Annie. His major ability here is his rage, when eren gets angry he is entirely something else, being able to harden his hands to give effective blows.

6. Jotaro (star platinum)

In this situation, the character himself doesn’t brawl but his stand does. A stand is an entity, a visual manifestation of life energy. And jotaro’s life energy has taken the form of one of the biggest brawlers in anime history. Jotaro’s stand from the very beginning has been known to carry a lot of physical strength, from the very beginning of the series it was able to catch a bullet-pointed directly at jotaro’s head and even though it has an ability that is almost a cheat, it would still be useless without the physical capabilities of star Platinum.

5. Makunouchi Ippo

Here we have an anime that is specifically about brawls, what more could depict brawls more than two people severely exchanging blows? That’s right this anime is strictly about boxing (Hajime no Ippo) and Ippo is our main character. He is a boy that started as a wimp, he was bullied by his classmates and he couldn’t do anything about it until he met Takamura, who he asked to teach him boxing. Lomg story short, he became a professional boxer and the best in japan making use of his great physical prowess and strength that even other boxers don’t have.

4. Toriko

Toriko is a renowned and incredibly skilled gourmet hunter, he is one of the four heavenly kings nicknamed the glutton because of his abnormally large appetite. Toriko battles while utilizing his incredible strength, it’s no surprise that’s he’s a brawler, he can easily take on beasts several times his size with his bare hands. After consuming god and ogre, Toriko can launch his enemies around the world with a seemingly easy punch.

3. Baki Hanma

Baki, son of ogre…No longer human, I thought of this line from the very moment I watched the season of Baki “Baki; son of ogre” Baki possesses nothing other than strength from training in various forms of martial arts and mastering them all. I would refer him to be the strongest pure brawler on this list because without any kind of ability or powers of any kind he can accomplish the impossible. He can move faster than the human eye can follow and utilize the time-lapse that the body uses to send information to the brain to attack, now if that’s not monstrous I don’t know what is. His greatest feat was how he defeated the unchained, a man known to be the strongest in America second only to the Ogre, a man who has his satellite tracking his every movement because of the possibility that he might take over the government, a man with muscles to thick that bullets cannot penetrate, a man known as the freest man in the world, a man who is at least double the muscle mass of Baki but Baki still defeated this person (the unchained) using brawls. Baki exchanged blows with the most muscular man on earth and won.

2. Goku

The very king of speed brawls is here, well…to be exact every fighter in the dragon ball verse is excellent at speed brawls but Goku is just exceptional one can call it his specialty. There is nothing else to say than he is just too good at brawls, in fact, that’s the only thing he is good at but I won’t give him the first position on this list because I want to give credit to a fallen hero, therefore feel free to change the rankings of the number 1 & 2 if you please.

1. All might

All might use to be the number one hero, he was incredibly strong after all his quirk allows him to stockpile energy and use them to throw punches, his punches are so strong that just the force from his punches could level cities in his prime he was known the be stronger, a man essentially becoming the symbol of peace is no small deal in itself, it is worthy of praise.
