Demon kings are an entirely different kind of beings in anime, they have power levels far above the normal, They can be physical, demonic, or magical but these kinds of abilities are peculiar to them. The majority of the demon kings in anime may resemble a normal person but there is no doubt in their power.

top 10 strongest demon kings in anime
And without further ado, here they are;
10. Sadou Maou
Ever imagines a scenario where a demon king with all his might and power works a part-time job? Well, this is exactly what the anime entails. Sadou Maou is a demon king that declared war on Ente Isla to conquer it and add it to his territory. However, he was pushed back by the heroes causing him to retreat to earth (a world without magic) which made him lose almost all of his powers. He came from a rather meek background; having an origin of one of the lower class goblins but he worked his way up and gained support from them eventually uniting them under his rule. Although he was greatly weakened when he came to earth, he can generate demonic energy from the negative emotion of others, he also possesses various abilities which include; transformation, mind control, magical combat ability, telekinesis, teleportation, glamour time barrier, and others.
9. Diablo
Takuma Sakomoto is a male protagonist who plays cross reverie and uses the character Diablo, known as the true demon king. Because he was too strong he usually holds back against other players, using better equipment and skills. One day he was summoned into another world as his game character, Diablo. He is powerful and has many spells and skills which include; omit, underwater movement, return spell, ice, water, light, fire magic, dark press, dark flare, black lance, darkness rain, burst rain, super mine, volcanic wall, freeze fall, heaven’s fall, cross blizzard, white nova, flight magic, gravity abyss, absolute zero and many more.
8. Staz Charlie blood
Staz is a vampire that controls the eastern district of the demon world. Being a guy that just wants to be an otaku and live the normal human lifestyle he is pretty much of a downer and looks like he’s tired.
His story changed when he met a human girl from japan but then she died and became a ghost, Staz then vowed to bring her back to her human form and back to Japan. Staz is an extremely powerful vampire even from a young age. He was trained by his brother who shot him with a magic bullet to seal his massive amount of power because his body could not handle it at that age meanwhile Staz grew to resent his brother because he thought that the magic gun bullet was an attempt to kill him. He has a great arsenal of techniques even though he is terrible at naming them, they include; demonic powers which manifested after the bullet had been removed from his heart, payback payback, chew-chew drain, heart contraction ZIP, and last but not least imitation Kamehameha
7. Arata Katsuga
Ever heard of Trinity seven? This character is the main character whose cousin suddenly disappears due to a breakdown phenomenon, Arata becomes desperate to save her and decides to enroll in the royal bibilia academy where he meets the trinity seven. He possesses the ability to copy and erase magic and he put it to good use. But the interesting thing is that he has a demon form; something different from how he usually is ‘the astral trinity’ when he becomes the astral trinity he becomes cold-hearted and cruel.
6. Ariel
Ariel was formerly the antagonist in the anime series ‘so I’m a spider so what’. Ariel is the original queen taratect and the present demon lord. She has a rather serious and cautious personality; some might even call it paranoid. Her abilities include; superhuman abilities, telepathy, poison manipulation, a status effect, paralysis effect, healing, thread manipulation, telekinesis, flight, precognition, probability manipulation, stealth, elemental manipulation which includes; fire, water, air, light, darkness, weight, poison, earth and every other kind. She also has resistance to every kind of manipulation, regeneration immortality and so much more. We haven’t seen much of her but we sure know, she is stronger than Kumono and that alone is enough to put her on this list.
5. Milim Nava
A character from the anime series ‘that time I got reincarnated as a slime’ is a rather cheerful character but when she gets serious you’re bound to suffer. She is one of the strongest and oldest amongst all demon lords known as the ‘destroyer’. She is the daughter of a true dragon whose parents were killed. The parent gave her a pet dragon and that was her only friend until humans killed it in an attempt to destroy her, in her fury, she annihilated them thus becoming the second true demon lord. Her abilities include; superhuman physical characteristics, enhanced senses, immortality, force field, energy manipulation, basically every kind of manipulation there is, fire, ice, water, disease, existence, and so on. She has nigh limitless stamina. Most might think that her carefree attitude is her shortcoming but Milim has full control of how she behaves when she gets serious.
4. Ainz Ooal Gown
“I will announce the goal for everyone to turn Ainz Ooal Gown into an eternal legend. If there are many heroes, then we will replace them all. Let the entire world know that Ainz Ooal Gown is the true hero”
Just by this statement alone, one can already tell how much power this being possessed. Although not an official demon lord he is a supreme being and the leader of a guild of other supreme beings all bearing a certain kind of monstrous heritage or so. Ainz is the king of the undead, king of darkness, dark hero he is unlimitedly powerful in his verse. He seems to be the only person on this list who acts like a demon king. In lots of ways, he can be cruel and yet compassionate but he doesn’t feel any kind of innate feeling of sexual urges of any kind, therefore the system of being cruel is embedded in him, he even killed 70,000 men just to summon some baby goats. His abilities include; strength, durability and magic defenses, instant death magic, time manipulation, summons, normal spells, undead abilities, super tier magic, and many others.
3. Rimuru Tempest
From “that time I got reincarnated as a slime” comes one of the most powerful demon kings ever introduced in anime. He was a normal guy who died in a simple attack and was reincarnated in another world as a slime. Though a simple monster, he was brought to this world as a very strong being yet not the strongest. various things occurred from there he became a demon lord after the death of shion and the destruction of his people. To become a demon lord, he kills 10,000 humans and still later evolved in the manga becoming a god-like being able to jump through dimensions. Some of his great abilities are; Gluttonous king beelzebuth which allows him to absorb organic and inorganic matter and incorporate them into his body composition, Wisdom king Raphael which allows him to increase his rate of thinking a thousandfold, Infinite regeneration which allows him to regenerate…infinitely.
2. Anos voldigoad
And now, we introduce a character who is only about one month old but yet is the strongest being in his verse. Now since Anos mother was killed by humans while he was still in her belly, he decided to end the war but the only way to do that was to build walls around the four races to separate them hoping they would forget their thousand-year grudge, thus he formed a pact with the hero and sacrificed himself saying that he will be reincarnated in 2000 years.
I’ll not be writing a long list of his abilities instead I’ll tell you his accomplishment. His entire life has probably been a flex showing just how OP he is; he dispelled a fire attack by blinking, negating a group attack with nothing more than a minor spell, intimidated warriors to the extent that they couldn’t use magic, reviving his teacher, destroying an opponent with his heartbeat, beating a swordsman with a stick, throwing a castle with his hands without any use of magic, and most especially defying the god of time. All these prove that he doesn’t only have immense magical abilities but also great physical strength and certain moves that defy all logic. After all, the popular saying “did you think that killing me would be enough to make me die” was getting from him.
1. Akuto Sai
And here is our main character from the anime series “demon king daimou”. He is just a regular orphan who wishes to become a high priest to help others but unfortunately, he was destined to be the demon king.
“a demon king doesn’t have to be evil. They are just called demon king because use their powers in the wrong way. I should know better than anyone…how this power is properly used. So I Akuto Sai, shall accept the power of a demon king”
He is undoubtedly the strongest demon king there is. Well…not in the anime, but the manga fully describes how powerful he became. His body is so big that it surpasses all existence and views the rest of the universe as a mere function. Apart from that, he is omnipresent, so powerful that the concept of mass does not apply to him, possesses limitless stamina, is night omniscience, and has a meta-versal range of attack.
