in this chapter we can see how luffy talks to momonosuke in the most epic way possible, it is completely obvious that even though luffy has lost a few times to Kaido, he doesn't fear Kaido a single bit.
if you remember, in the previous chapter, Luffy was telling Momonosuke to fly to Onigashima despite his fear of heights, there Luffy basically forced Momonosuke to fly to Onigashima but this time we see Luffy encourage Momonosuke to bite Kaido, although he was scared 😱, after a flash-back, he finally bit Kaido, He screamed in agony then shrugged it off like it was nothing calling him a brat, it was still an epic thing to do.
Luffy then said one of the best lines of this Arc. he told momonusuke that since he has bitten the king of beasts himself an emperor of the sea what then is he afraid of.
this like was so epic and it shows just how luffy is; straightforward to the core.
the chapter highlights the battle of Kaido vs luffy, Yamato, and Momonosuke, but majorly centering around the one-on-one battle of luffy against Kaido. they fight on the roof with the color of the Supreme kings, their clash was so great that it was able to split the heavens; this is a feat that has only been shown once throughout the series in the clash between Shanks and white beard.
The best thing is that the clash was equal to kaido's, he was on par with an emperor of the sea.
in the fight against Kaido, Luffy was able to create a force so great against an emperor of the sea that was strong enough to split the skies which resultantly opened up the sky and displayed the moon.
meanwhile Inurashi and Nekomamushi we're fighting Jack and perospero. this clash between luffy and kaido opened up a way for the moonlight to shine therefore they were able to use their Sulong form.
it is evident that luffy is the source of their strength, he truly is the MVP of this chapter.
